FertiCovery is organising its next Open Forum event. The Industrial Symbiosis event will take place on 23 November 2026 (14:00–16:00 CET) in Karpacz, Poland, as part of the Chemistry for Agriculture & Human Health conference (read more about the conference here).
How can biowaste and industrial by-products become valuable resources for sustainable fertiliser production? Join us for an interactive event bringing together stakeholders from across the fertiliser value chain to explore practical collaboration opportunities and build new partnerships.
Co-organised by the FertiCovery, LANDFEED, and V4-BioWasteLink projects, the event will connect companies generating biowaste and by-products with fertiliser producers, technology providers, researchers, farmers, policymakers and regional organisations. Through presentations, open discussions and moderated networking, participants will identify opportunities to transform secondary raw materials into safe, high-quality fertilising products.
What to expect
The programme will begin with an introduction to the three projects, followed by dedicated sessions highlighting their complementary expertise:
- V4-BioWasteLink will present regional biowaste streams, feedstock availability and cooperation with businesses and municipalities.
- FertiCovery will lead an open forum on fertilising products derived from secondary raw materials, discussing product quality, safety, environmental performance and crop response.
- LANDFEED will introduce its industrial symbiosis approach, demonstrating how feedstock suppliers, technology providers and fertiliser producers can be connected through structured matchmaking.
The second half of the event will focus on interactive roundtable discussions, where participants will exchange information on available materials, processing technologies, production needs and collaboration opportunities. Using supply and demand forms, stakeholders will identify potential partners, discuss practical next steps and lay the foundations for future cooperation.
The event will conclude with a summary of the proposed partnerships, a FertiCovery stakeholder survey, and information on follow-up activities.
Discussions will be conducted mainly in Polish. Real-time translation and a dedicated English-speaking discussion table were considered to facilitate the participation of international attendees.
