Open Forum event: From Nutrient Recovery to Resource Valorisation – Innovation and Solutions for a Circular Economy

This FertiCovery Open Forum event will take place on 25 November from 9:30 to 13:30 CET, in Valladolid, Spain.

It is organised together with UNITED CIRCLES EU project and it aims at showcasing the progress and results achieved in the development of innovative solutions for nutrient recovery, the valorisation of waste and byproducts, and their integration into new circular value chains.

The event will focus on presenting the main results of the FertiCovery project, with a particular emphasis will be put on the different aspects considered in the multicriteria decision analysis, including technical and environmental performance, compared to conventional nitrogen and phosphorus fertiliser production processes.

In addition, the progress of the UNITED CIRCLES project will be presented, with a special focus on the Salamanca hub, where various entities collaborate on the development and integration of technological solutions for the recovery and valorisation of resources, promoting industrial symbiosis and the transition toward more circular and sustainable production models.

The event is primarily targeting companies and organisations involved in waste management, wastewater treatment, agri-food industry, and fertiliser production, which are interested in the latest technological advances and opportunities for resource recovery.

It will also connect research centres, universities, government agencies, associations, and technology platforms working in the fields of nutrient recovery, industrial sustainability, and circular economy.

The event and discussions will be in Spanish (in-person).
