On 23 October 2025, CARTIF organised the Innovation Day on the current state of nutrient management and the potential of recovery technologies to reduce reliance on inorganic fertilisers, lower environmental impact, and promote circular economy models in agriculture.
The event featured successful case studies and ongoing innovation efforts, offering practical tools and insights to companies, researchers, and stakeholders seeking to drive a more sustainable and competitive agricultural sector.
As part of the FertiCovery Project, the event featured a presentation of the first results obtained during the project. The session concluded with a roundtable discussion, where participants shared their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of nutrient recovery for sustainable agriculture.

The event connected around 40 representatives from across the bio-based fertiliser production and wastewater treatment value chain, such as waste and water managers, technology developers, fertiliser producers, and farmers.
